Treasury Products
BANKERS ACCEPTANCE
This is a marketable security issued by an organization (Industrial, Commercial, etc) of sound financial health, the repayment undertaking of which is guaranteed by at least one bank. The investor has recourse to either the issuer or the accepting bank for redemption. The rate is higher than Treasury Bills rate and has a maturity range of 30 – 90 days.
CALL OR TERM PLACEMENT
This is a direct deposit placement with ADH either on a strict call basis or for a fixed period to which we issue a Negotiable Certificate of Deposit. The benefit is that the longer the maturity, the higher the interest rate. The safety and liquidity of the placement is also guaranteed by ADH. ACBIS may be fixed or placed on call.
TREASURY PRODUCTS
The Treasury group has as its principal activities trading in Federal Government Securities and money market instruments including commercial bills. The group offers various products and services to banks and other financial institutions at competitive terms. These products are:
- PLACEMENT
We invest in highly rated financial institutions by placing funds on competitive terms.
- TAKINGS
We accept funds from Banks and other Financial Institutions. These Funds are secured with holdings in Government securities and Commercial bills of highly rated institutions.
- Open Buy Back (OBB)
We secure your investments with us by the transfer of Treasury Bills to your custody on an Open Buy Back basis. This product offers you the flexibility of recalling back your funds (and our securities back to us) at any time.
- Repurchase Agreements (REPOs)
We sell Government Securities and highly rated Commercial bills to our clients with an agreement to repurchase same bills at mutually agreed rate and date.
- TREASURY BILLS & FGN BONDS
We provide trading services to our clients for the purchase and sale of Treasury Bills, FGN Bonds and other Sub-National Bonds.
- BANKERS ACCEPTANCES & COMMERCIAL BILLS
These products are for our clients who are interested in higher yields for their investments without undue risk. We trade in eligible bills of highly rated institutions.
- REDISCOUNTING SERVICES
Clients who want to redeem their investments in Treasury Bills and FGN Bonds are offered rediscounting services before the maturity of the bills at competitive rates.
