AIGBOJE I. AIG-IMOUKHUEDE CON – (CHAIRMAN BOARD OF DIRECTORS)
Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede’s banking career spans over 2 decades. He spent over 10 years at Guaranty Trust Bank Plc (GT Bank) and resigned in 2002 to lead a dynamic team of accomplished bankers as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank Plc with the mandate to transform the bank into a world-class financial services provider.
Aigboje's visionary leadership has inspired Access Bank's rapid and unprecedented growth over the past 8 years which has seen the Bank rank amongst the top 5 banks, by tier 1 capital in Nigeria from an erstwhile position of 69th in 2002.
In October 2007, Aigboje was ranked amongst the top 10 Most Respected CEOs in the annual PricewaterhouseCoopers Most Respected Companies and CEO Survey, a documented testament of his leadership expertise.
Aigboje has served the nation in different capacities where his contributions and insights have facilitated achievement of set goals. This includes his membership of the Presidential Committees on affordable housing; the Presidential Committee on Capital Market Development, and the Financial Sector Technical Committee on Vision 2020. He was awarded the National Productivity Order of merit Award (2009) in recognition of his contributions to the development of the Nigerian economy.
Aigboje is an Alumnus of Harvard Business School Executive Management Programme. He holds an LLB and BL degrees from the University of Benin and the Nigeria Law School respectively. He is a Fellow of the African Leadership Institute under the auspices of Aspen Institute, Colorado USA. Aigboje is also an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIBN).
Aigboje serves on the sub-committee of the Bankers Committee on Professional Ethics. He is a principled professional of proven integrity and a respected public speaker. Aig is a pastor.
He was appointed as the Chairman, Board of Directors of Associated Discount House Limited on 1st December, 2011.
ABUBAKAR JIMOH - (MANAGING DIRECTOR/CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER)
Mr. Abubakar Jimoh is a graduate of Finance from the University of Lagos and holds a Master’s of Science in Finance.
He has worked for more than 20 years in Treasury, credit, risk management and project management capacities.He was a pioneer staff of Express Discount Limited where he rose to the level of Head of Trading before relocating to Canada in 1998.He held various positions at RBC Financial Group (Royal Bank of Canada) between 1999 and 2005.
He then proceeded to African Development Bank (ADB) where he rose to the position of Divisional Chief in charge of Private Sector Portfolio Management.Prior to his employment in ADH, he was GM and Divisional Head, UBA Group Balance Sheet Management, Market Risk and Investor Relations.
MR. HERBERT WIGWE, FCA
Mr. Herbert Wigwe started his professional career with Coopers and Lybrand Associates, an international firm of Chartered Accountants. He spent over 10 years at Guaranty Trust Bank where he managed several portfolios including financial institutions, Corporates and Multinationals. He left Guaranty Trust as an Executive Director to co-lead the transformation of Access Bank Plc in March 2002 as Deputy Managing Director.
Herbert is an Alumnus of Harvard Business School Executive Management Programme. He holds a Master’s degree in Banking and International Finance from the University College of North Wales; a Master’s degree in Financial Economics from the University of London and a B.Sc. degree in Accounting from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
He was appointed as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Associated Discount House Limited on 1st December, 2011.
MR. OLUSEGUN OLOKETUYI
Segun is a consummate banker with several years of banking and managerial experience. He is the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Wema Bank Plc.
Until his appointment, he was an Executive Director at Skye Bank Plc. with responsibility for Business Development across Lagos and South West Directorates of the Bank.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) and a 1983 Second Class Upper Division graduate of Chemistry from the University of Lagos, Oloketuyi started out in 1985 as an Auditor with the firm of then Akintola Williams and Co (Chartered Accountants). He later moved over to the defunct Chartered Bank in 1990 garnering rich experience in corporate and commercial banking, amongst others.
He rose to become an Assistant General Manager with direct supervision of the business of the large corporate multinational companies bank-wide.
In January 2000, Oloketuyi joined then Prudent Bank Plc as Deputy General Manager in charge of Corporate and Commercial markets. With ever increasing scope of activities and involvement in business development in the bank, he moved up as General Manager, Business Development and Chief Credit Officer in January 2001.
In recognition of his invaluable contributions, Oloketuyi, in April 2004 became an Executive Director at Prudent Bank Plc, a position he held until the bank merged with other banks in the consolidation exercise of December 2005.
In October 2005, Oloketuyi was appointed the acting Managing Director of Bond Bank during which he successfully steered the bank through a successful merger process with Skye Bank Plc.
Following a successful and hitch-free merger process in Skye Bank, Oloketuyi was in January 2006 appointed Executive Director (Finance and Enterprise Risk Management).
Doubling as the Bank’s Chief Finance Officer, he supervised Financial Control and Accounts, Performance Measurement, Corporate and Strategic Planning and Process Management amongst others.
He was also the post-merger Integration Co-ordinator that worked with different integration teams and external Consultants following the merger of the different legacy banks that form Skye Bank Plc.
Oloketuyi has attended various professional and leadership training programmes in the course of his banking career. He is an MBA Alumnus of the Lagos Business School and the Advanced Management Programme of INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.
A 2007 recipient of the distinguished Alumni Merit Award of the University of Lagos, Oloketuyi holds the membership of the Institute of Directors (IOD) and the Ikoyi Club 1938.
He was appointed as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Associated Discount House on 2nd December, 2009. An avid reader who believes in the continuous development of the mind, Oloketuyi enjoys travelling and is married with children.
ALHAJI NURUDEEN FAGBENRO
Nurudeen is a thoroughbred and a well- rounded professional Banker. Born in 1960, Alhaji Fagbenro graduated from the University of Lagos in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (Second Class Upper Division). He joined Wema Bank as an Accounting Supervisor in 1986 and rose to become the Head of Foreign Trade in 1991.
Fagbenro has held various strategic positions in the Bank amongst which are Head of International Banking Division from 1996 to 2001, Chief Inspector (2001-2003) while as an Assistant General Manager (2002-2003) he was saddled with the responsibility of identifying/training of key management staff to take charge of future management of International Operations. He was promoted Deputy General Manager in 2003 and drafted to manage the Commercial & Telecommunications and Institutional Banking Groups.
He rose to become a General Manager of the Bank in 2005 in charge of Institutional Banking, a position he held until his appointment as an Executive Director in 2006. He managed Institutional Banking Group till June 2007, a market facing directorate that handles customers’ transactions request in excess of business turnover of N 500m.
Fagbenro co-coordinated the critical institutional integration of National Bank of Nigeria Ltd and Wema Bank Plc.
Fagbenro has been exposed to various capacity building courses and programmes in Nigeria and abroad. He is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
He was appointed as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Associated Discount House Limited on 29th April, 2010.
Fagbenro, who is happily married with children, is an avid reader. He enjoys playing chess, table-tennis, and badminton. He is a respected member of the prestigious Ikoyi Club 1938.
MR. LARRY ETTAH
Mr. Larry Ephraim Ettah has been Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director of UAC of Nigeria Plc since January 1, 2007. Mr. Ettah has been Head of Human Resources of UAC of Nigeria Plc since January1, 2004.
He serves as one time Divisional Meals/Component Director, UAC Foods Division, Ag Divisional Managing Director Fast Foods, pioneer Divisional Managing Director. He serves as Chairman of the Board of UNICO CPFA Limited. He serves as Chairman of the Board of CAP plc. He has been Acting Chairman of the Board of UACN Property Development Company plc since January 2, 2010 and served as its Chairman and has been its Director since February 6, 2007.
He has been Director of UAC of Nigeria Plc since January 1, 2004.He holds an MBA in finance and marketing from University of Benin, B.SC in Industrial Chemistry from University of Benin and attended Executive program at Michigan School of Business University of Michigan.
He was appointed as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Associated Discount House Limited on 27th February, 2007.
MR. BABATUNDE W. DABIRI
Mr. Babatunde Dabiri was a successful banker and had a track record of setting up and managed two Merchant and one Commercial Banks.
Mr. Dabiri was the former Managing Director & Chief Executive of Sterling Bank Plc, Fountain Trust Merchant Bank Limited (now defunct) and Prime Merchant Bank Limited (now defunct) for a total period of twenty years. He had an outstanding competence in all facets of relationship and portfolio management, Financial Advisory Services and Banking Products Marketing.
He currently serves on the Board of many Companies as Chairman and he is also a Council Member of Nigerian Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) Lagos.
He was appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of Associated Discount House Limited on 18th May, 2011.
EBENEZER OLUFOWOSE
Mr. Ebenezer Olufowose’s banking experience spans over two decades with successful track records in Corporate Finance, Project Finance and Investment Banking. He is a proven banker with an innate ability to originate and execute landmark transactions.
He began his professional career at NAL Merchant Bank in 1985 and thereafter moved to First City Merchant Bank Ltd (FCMB) in 1990 initially as a Manager and shortly thereafter as Head of the Bank’s Corporate Finance business. He joined Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) in 1995 and rose to become the Group Head, Investment Banking. He was consequently appointed a Director at Asset and Resource Management Company Ltd (GTB’s Asset Management subsidiary) in 1997. He was appointed pioneer Managing Director/CEO of GTB’s first subsidiary outside Nigeria – GTB Gambia in 2001.
Ebenezer holds an MA in International Economics from the University of Sussex, Brighton, England where he studied as a Sir Adam Thompson Scholar and a first class honours degree in Economics from the University of Lagos (1982).
He was appointed as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Associated Discount House Limited on 14th March, 2012.
